<p>Overview<br/>We are seeking a CNC Programmer to join our client's dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming CNC lathes and setting up machines for production to ensure efficient, high-quality machining operations.</p><p>Responsibilities</p><ul><li>Develop and optimize CNC programs for CNC lathes</li><li>Set up machines for other operators, including first-off requirements for repeat jobs</li><li>Troubleshoot programming issues and adjust as needed to maintain production efficiency</li><li>Participate in tool and fixture selection during the development of new parts</li><li>Improve existing programs to reduce machine cycle time</li><li>Operate machines when setup or programming is not required</li><li>Conduct in-process inspections of machined parts using measuring instruments to ensure accuracy</li><li>Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and reduce waste using Lean Manufacturing Techniques, such as setup reduction events</li><li>Assemble components during cycle time as needed, ensuring all parts meet quality standards</li><li>Perform daily preventative maintenance on machines, including cleaning coolant tanks as scheduled</li><li>Maintain good housekeeping and follow Lean Manufacturing and FEM requirements</li><li>Report any equipment or tool malfunctions to the supervisor</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul><p>Experience</p><ul><li>Minimum 5 to 10 years of experience in programming and setup of Twin Spindle Twin Turret CNC Lathes</li><li>Proficiency in programming jobs with bar feeders and chucking setups</li><li>Experience programming jobs with live tools and other modern machine technologies</li><li>Experience with castings is considered an asset</li><li>Strong ability to read technical drawings/blueprints and working knowledge of GD&T is required</li><li>Skilled in use of measuring equipment such as micrometers and height gauges (CMM experience is an asset)</li><li>Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software is a plus</li><li>Crane training is an asset</li><li>Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing Principles</li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills</li><li>Experience working in an ISO-Certified manufacturing environment is preferred</li></ul><p>Job Type: Full-time</p><p>Pay: $29.00-$35.00 per hour</p><p>Application question(s):</p><ul><li>Do you have expereince with setup of Twin Spindle Twin Turret CNC Lathes?</li></ul><p>Experience:</p><ul><li>CNC programming: 5 years (required)</li><li>Lean manufacturing: 5 years (required)</li></ul><p>Work Location: In person</p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
