<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p>Salary: <br /><p>Stationary Maintenance Millwright<br />Musselwhite Mine<br />Orla Mining is striving to be the emerging gold producer of choice with a geographically diversified asset base, a prospective<br />development and exploration portfolio, an experienced management team with a successful track record, and a high-quality board<br />and shareholder base.</p><p><br />Orla operates the Camino Rojo Oxide Gold Mine, a gold and silver open-pit heap leach mine, located in Zacatecas State, Central<br />Mexico. This low-cost operation is 100% owned by Orla, covers over 139,000 hectares, and includes a large sulphide mineral<br />endowment located beneath the oxide resources. We are also advancing permitting and development on our South Railroad<br />Project, a feasibility-stage, open-pit heap leach project located on the prolific Carlin trend in Nevada. This project is part our larger<br />South Carlin Complex which includes a prospective land package. We recently acquired the Musselwhite Mine located in Northern<br />Ontario on Lake Opapimiskan, a gold mine with more than 25 years of operating history. The addition of Musselwhite has allowed<br />Orla to more than double our gold production and provide a strategic entry into a Tier 1 mining jurisdiction. We are custodians of the assets we run and the<br />environments in which we operate, and we are committed to fostering a culture of excellence, care, and respect.</p><p><br />Purpose<br />Reporting to the Stationary Maintenance Team Leader, the Stationary Millwright will contribute to The Maintenance departments<br />goals of continuing to foster a safe and efficient work environment, minimize downtime and ensure optimum equipment effectiveness<br />through proactive maintenance practices. We are seeking a motivated Millwright to join our Maintenance Team.</p><p><br />Responsibilities include:</p><ul><li>Carry out preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities throughout the Mill and Crushing circuits both on<br />surface and underground. Tasks include laser alignment, component rebuild & replacement, welding, fabrication, bearing<br />assembly and setting of clearance, contamination control and asset lubrication</li><li>Ensure work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and provide input directed at improving the safety, efficiency and<br />overall effectiveness of the Maintenance and Reliability department</li><li>Provide input to Maintenance and Reliability improvement initiatives</li><li>Participate in all aspects of maintenance shutdowns<br /></li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Education and Experience:</p><ul><li>The candidate must be a Certified Journeyperson-Millwright, with a current CWB welding ticket, or ability to gain CWB<br />certification within one year of hire date</li><li>Minimum of three (3) years of experience in an ore processing environment associated with crushing, grinding, gravity<br />concentration, dewatering, leach/CIP, stripping, conveying, and refining</li><li>Ability to lift, carry and push 50 lbs. with assistance</li><li>Ability to constantly reach below, above, and at-shoulder height</li><li>Ability to work at-heights and in confined spaces</li><li>Strong commitment to working in a safe, socially responsible manner</li><li>Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills, desktop computing literacy</li><li>The candidate must be a self-directed team player, with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and demonstratestrong attention to detail</li></ul><p><br /></p><p>Working Conditions<br />The schedule for this position will consist of 14 days on and 14 days off, 12 hours per da</p></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
