<p><p>Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.</p><p>Direct message the job poster from Accu-staff Resource Systems Enterprises LTD</p><h3>Senior Manager, Staffing & Executive Search | Canada & USA /Accu-staff 2025 Forbes Canada's Best Executive Recruiting Firms/ Canada's Best…</h3><p>We have an exciting opportunity in the Windsor-Essex Area for a Senior Quality Engineer!</p><p><b>What is in it for you?</b></p><ul><li>Be a part of a great team</li><li>Dynamic global organization</li><li>Opportunities for advancement</li><li>Competitive compensation package</li></ul><p><b>What will you do?</b></p><ul><li>Coordinate all APQP activities with assistance from existing subject matter specialists</li><li>Maintain excellent customer relations at the corporate and plant levels throughout the launch</li><li>Execute customer engineering changes, reworks, and root cause investigations</li><li>Manage the supplier base for all purchased components</li><li>Select special characteristics</li><li>Manage customer portals (SQE)</li><li>Clearly and consistently communicate customer expectations to the organization</li><li>Assist in the development of control documents, implementation of lessons learned, and SOR</li><li>Lead supplier PPAPs, quality, and chargebacks, and facilitate supplier development</li><li>Lead/coordinate cross-functional APQP teams on product launches and apply lessons learned to continuously improve the APQP process</li><li>Provide written technical responses to customers on launch quality issues</li><li>Liaison with customers during visits, builds, runs at rate, PPAP activities, process/ system audits, and APQP/ PDT meetings</li><li>Perform quality engineering activities for internal issues as needed (e.g., problem-solving) and liaise with customers on quality issues</li><li>Travel to customer locations to orchestrate sorts and confirm issues and conduct investigations as needed</li></ul><p><b>Job Requirements</b></p><p><b>What you will bring:</b></p><ul><li>Minimum of three years in a community college program with a technology diploma or an engineering degree; formal Quality Accreditation (ASQC/AIAG) is a plus</li><li>Certification as a CQE (Quality Engineer)</li><li>Minimum of five years of experience in quality with at least two years in a quality engineer role</li><li>Demonstrated ability to lead APQP processes in an automotive assembly environment; knowledge of AIAG standards (APQP, PPAP, PFMEA)</li><li>Experience interacting with automotive assembly plants is an asset</li><li>Lead Auditor accreditation</li><li>Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to participate in internal and external training</li><li>Strong organizational skills with excellent verbal and written communication</li><li>Leadership abilities to run effective meetings; problem-solving and root-cause analysis capabilities</li><li>Sound technical background with experience evaluating failure modes in both manual and automation contexts</li><li>Willingness to travel as required (U.S./Mexico & Canada) to support customer needs</li><li>Personal attributes: leadership, integrity, punctuality, work ethic, ability to work with little supervision</li></ul><p><b>Additional Information</b></p><p>ACCU-STAFF has an accommodation process in place and provides accommodations for employees with disabilities.
