We're looking for a passionate and experienced <strong>Senior Metrologist / QA Manager</strong> to lead our quality and metrology efforts.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Position Overview:</strong></p><p>The <strong>Senior Metrologist/QA Manager</strong> is responsible for overseeing the metrology lab and ensuring compliance with all quality standards across the organization. This dual-role leader will develop and implement quality control systems, manage audits and certifications, and lead a team of technicians and quality personnel. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in metrology, along with leadership experience in quality systems management (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 17025).</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Metrology:</strong></p><ul><li>Oversee all calibration and measurement activities, ensuring traceability to NIST and NRC standards.</li><li>Program and operate advanced metrology equipment (e.g. Fluke METCAL software, Fluke 5550A, Fluke 6105A, Fluke 8588A, Fluke 6270A).</li><li>Develop procedures and measurement strategies for complex equipment.</li><li>Analyze measurement data and provide guidance on conformity and process improvement.</li></ul><p><strong>Quality Assurance:</strong></p><ul><li>Maintain and improve the company’s QMS; ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations.</li><li>Lead internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory audits.</li><li>Manage non-conformance, CAR, and document control systems.</li><li>Train and mentor quality team members on inspection techniques, root cause analysis, and quality tools.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement initiatives across departments.</li></ul><p><strong>Leadership & Management:</strong></p><ul><li>Supervise and develop a team of metrologists, technicians, and QA personnel.</li><li>Collaborate with calibration and renewal parts teams to resolve quality issues.</li><li>Report on key quality metrics and lead quality reviews with management.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Certified Electronics Engineering Technologist (CET) or equivalent.</li><li>7+ years of experience in metrology and quality assurance within a regulated industry.</li><li>Strong understanding of Fluke’s METCAL (Metrology and Calibration) software.</li><li>Proficient in the use of precision measurement equipment and software (e.g., Fluke calibration standards, METCAL)</li><li>Experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 17025.</li><li>Proven leadership and team management skills.</li><li>Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.</li><li>Background in electrical, pressure, temperature, and dimensional metrology.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field (or equivalent experience).</li><li>Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or equivalent.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><strong>What We Offer:</strong></p><ul><li>Competitive salary and benefits package</li><li>Opportunities for growth and professional development</li><li>Collaborative and innovative work environment</li><li>Commitment to work-life balance and employee well-being</li></ul><p><br></p><p>*This is a dual-role position but candidates who qualify for only one role will be considered.</p>
