Accommodations for disabilities in relation to the job selection process are available upon request.</p><h3>What you will do?</h3><ul><li>Lead the design and development of power electronics systems, including inverters, converters, and motor drives.</li><li>Develop, validate, and release power electronics models using tools like Saber, Simplorer, MATLAB, Simulink and Simscape.</li><li>Define electronics architecture and lead activities in accordance with electronics simulation and design framework.</li><li>Mentor and guide junior engineers and team members.</li><li>Stay informed on emerging industry trends and technologies in electronics design.</li><li>Participate in the review and optimization of existing designs for efficiency, cost-effectiveness, FuSa, reliability, and manufacturability.</li><li>Support product validation, certification, and compliance testing activities.</li><li>Investigate and resolve complex technical issues related to power electronics systems during development and post-production phases.</li><li>Contribute to the creation of intellectual property through patents, white papers, and technical publications.</li><li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams (controls, software, mechanical) to define system requirements, specifications, and design constraints.</li><li>Complete design and documentation deliverables in accordance with ISO26262 / ASPICE.</li><li>Contribute to quotations, feasibility reviews, drawing reviews, technical reports.</li><li>Prepare technical presentations for internal or customer use.</li></ul><h3>What you will bring?</h3><ul><li>BSc in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. Master\'s degree or Ph.D. preferred.</li><li>Strong proficiency in power electronic circuit design, analysis, and simulation tools such as Ansys Q3D, SIwave, MATLAB / Simulink, or similar.</li><li>Experience with semiconductor devices, including IGBTs, MOSFETs, power devices, and their characteristics.</li><li>Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.</li><li>Have good document and collaboration software understanding (MS Office, MS Teams, JIRA, etc.).</li><li>5-8 years’ experience with high-power applications in the automotive or related industry.</li><li>Hardware DFMEA, WCCA, FTAs, Testing and Validation.</li><li>EMI / EMC design knowledge.</li><li>Altium, LTSPICE or other hardware design software.</li><li>Familiarity with ASPICE / ISO26262 environment and requirements an asset.</li></ul><p><b>Employment details</b></p><ul><li>Seniority level: Mid-Senior level</li><li>Employment type: Full-time</li><li>Job function: Automation Machinery Manufacturing</li></ul></p>
