<p>5 days ago Be among the first 25 applicants</p><p>Get AI-powered advice on this job and more exclusive features.</p><p>Direct message the job poster from LanceSoft, Inc.</p><p><u>Job Title :</u> Project Chief Body Closures - Senior</p><p>Hybrid (4 Days Onsite)</p><p><u>Duration :</u> 12+ Months</p><p><b>PR : $46.00 CAD</b></p><p>Onsite / Remote Hybrid - 75% Onsite at assembly plants, engineering offices, suppliers, and test facilities; 25% Remote; primarily at Windsor or occasional CTC reviews.</p><p><b>Description :</b></p><ul><li>The Project Chief will oversee all Closures commodities (Door In White, Hood, Fender, Static and Dynamic Sealing, Liftgates) for vehicle programs, from start to finish ('cradle to grave').</li><li>Work with Product Planning and the Product Design Office early in the program to guide vehicle design toward feasible technical solutions.</li><li>Collaborate extensively to determine appropriate Cost, Weight, and Investment targets for the new vehicle.</li><li>Manage sourcing, supplier selection, and design release of component designs for tooling as the program progresses.</li><li>Develop and track testing plans and timelines for components and systems, ensuring timely completion and developing mitigation plans as needed.</li><li>Support supplier and assembly plant launches during pilot and launch phases; manage warranty or quality issues post-launch.</li></ul><p><b>Requirements :</b></p><ul><li>Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university</li><li>Minimum of 5 years of experience in engineering design and component development</li><li>Outgoing self-starter capable of organizing complex projects and working with diverse teams</li></ul><p><b>Preferred Requirements :</b></p><ul><li>Experience in design, development, and release of Closures components (Sheetmetal, plastic, sealing)</li><li>Knowledge of DFSS, DFMEA, and test/validation processes</li><li>Proven leadership in organizing and leading engineering teams to meet quality and fit/finish standards, including CWI</li></ul><p><b>Additional Information / Must Have's :</b></p><ul><li>Excellent communication and project leadership skills</li><li>Automotive engineering background or manufacturing experience</li><li>Strong problem-solving abilities</li></ul><p>Seniority level: Mid-Senior level</p><p>Employment type: Contract</p><p>Job function: Management and Manufacturing</p><p>Industries: IT Services and IT Consulting</p><p>Note: This job is active; no indication of expiration was found.</p>
