<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><b>POSITION SUMMARY:</b><br><br>Reporting to the Manager, Hog Logistics, the incumbent has direct accountability for planning hog production cycles, livestock driver and transportation schedules while co-ordinating and communicating with the business to execute the planned movements.<br><br><b>A SNAPSHOT OF SOME OF THE EXCITING THINGS YOU WILL DO:</b><br /> <ul><li>Cycle based production planning and inventory management for barns</li><li>Development of transport schedule, including drivers weekly schedule</li><li>Maintain planning databases and SAP logistical information</li><li>Create/manage cycles to facilitate process orders for hog production</li><li>Generate shipping documents and assess returning documentation</li><li>Proficiency in understanding and resolving scheduling issues</li><li>Maintain working relationships with 3rd party transport vendors, processing plant customers, as well as internal customer relationships with Hog Production, Finance, QA, Feed and Animal Health Team</li><li>Assist with period end processes as required</li><li>Provide administrative support and vacation coverage where required</li></ul><br /><b>WHAT YOU WILL BRING:</b><ul><li>3 – 5 years of related experience in a formal planning role, preferably in an SAP environment. Strong understanding of work in process systems.</li><li>2 – 3 years proven SAP experience</li><li>Experience with cycle-based production considered an asset</li><li>Must possess excellent skills in:<ul><li>Interpersonal</li><li>Strong Analytics </li><li>Organizational</li><li>Problem Solving </li><li>Communication (effective written and oral communication skills to interact across all organizational levels)</li><li>Computer (MS Excel, Database Mgmt.)</li></ul></li><li>Ability to work efficiently with all operations</li><li>Ability to work under pressure and handle several complex tasks simultaneously</li><li>Ability to be on a call (approx. every 3rd week)</li><li>Experience working in a livestock business considered an asset</li><li>Equivalent combinations of education, experience and training will be considered</li></ul></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
