<p>Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:</p><p>We’re seeking a motivated and detail-oriented <strong>Junior FP&A Analyst </strong>to join our finance team. In this role, you'll support the financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions that help guide strategic decision-making across the company. You'll gain hands-on experience, work closely with senior leadership, and contribute to high-impact initiatives.</p><p><strong>Job Responsibilities:</strong></p><p>Financial Analysis & Reporting:</p><p>• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports</p><p>• Analyze financial performance and key metrics (e.g., revenue, margins, costs)</p><p>• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities, and communicate insights to leadership</p><p>Budgeting & Forecasting:</p><p>• Support the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts</p><p>• Assist in building financial models and gathering department-level inputs</p><p>• Maintain and update financial forecasts based on changing business needs</p><p>Cost & CapEx Monitoring:</p><p>• Track and analyze operating expenses across departments</p><p>• Monitor and report on capital expenditures (fleet, tools, equipment, office assets)</p><p>• Ensure alignment with approved budgets and assist in depreciation tracking</p><p>Variance & Performance Analysis:</p><p>• Perform variance analysis of SG&A and operational costs</p><p>• Identify and explain deviations from budget or forecast to senior management</p><p>Audit & Compliance Support:</p><p>• Assist with interim and year-end financial audits</p><p>• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for auditors</p><p>• Help ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements</p><p>Data Management & Systems:</p><p>• Leverage Excel, Power BI, and ERP/GL systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, ServiceTitan)</p><p>• Maintain accurate financial data and support reporting automation</p><p>Ad-Hoc & Strategic Projects:</p><p>• Provide analytical support for special projects and initiatives</p><p>• Help improve reporting and planning processes through automation and best practices</p><p><strong>Required Skills & Experience:</strong></p><p>• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field</p><p>• 2–3 years of relevant experience in FP&A, accounting, or audit (internships considered)</p><p>• Advanced Excel skills; ability to analyze and manipulate large datasets</p><p>• Strong understanding of financial statements and core accounting principles</p><p>• Analytical mindset with attention to detail and accuracy</p><p>• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey complex financial data clearly</p><p><strong>but not required:</strong></p><p>• Experience in the construction or real estate industry</p><p>• Familiarity with work-in-progress (WIP) accounting and revenue recognition</p><p>• Exposure to audit preparation and compliance processes</p><p>• Understanding of CapEx tracking, asset capitalization, and depreciation methods</p><p>• Experience with financial systems such as Sage Intacct, QuickBooks, or BI tools</p><p>Requirements:</p><p><strong>Eligibility Requirements</strong></p><ul><li><span>Employment/education</span> will be verified.</li><li>Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.</li><li>Encon is a drug free workplace and requires post-offer pre-employment drug testing.</li><li>Must have reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license.</li></ul>
