<p><strong>Interior Designer – Technical Focus (Office Furniture Design & Coordination)</strong></p><p><br></p><p><strong>Overview:</strong></p><p>We are a North American-based office furniture company seeking an Interior Designer with a strong technical skillset to support our team in bringing custom furniture projects to life. This role is ideal for someone with a background in interior design who excels in technical drawings, project coordination, and vendor communication.</p><p>This is an in-office position located in Brantford, ON. Our business hours are Monday to Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM and Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM.</p><p><br></p><p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p><ul><li>Produce accurate technical furniture drawings using AutoCAD, CET Designer, or similar tools.</li><li>Develop and maintain project workback schedules using Asana.</li><li>Coordinate with vendors to confirm specifications, finishes, and production details.</li><li>Support the sales team with layouts, drawings, finish packages, and technical documentation.</li><li>Ensure design deliverables are organized, accurate, and ready for internal and external review.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Degree or diploma in Interior Design or a related field.</li><li>Minimum 3-5 years of experience in interior design with a focus on technical drawings and commercial or furniture-related projects.</li><li>Proficiency in AutoCAD (required); CET Designer is a strong asset.</li><li>Experience with project management tools such as Asana.</li><li>Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills.</li><li>Comfortable managing multiple design tasks with attention to detail.</li><li>Ability to work full-time, in-office, Monday to Friday.</li><li>A team player who is comfortable supporting multiple people and projects at once.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Nice to Haves:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience in contract furniture or commercial interiors.</li><li>Familiarity with North American furniture standards and BIFMA compliance.</li></ul><p><br></p><p><strong>Compensation:</strong></p><p>Based on experience</p>
