Our culture is rooted in our values, leadership accountability, and the growth and development of our Ambassadors.</p><p>We are a 164-room hotel & conference centre located in Canmore, AB.</p><p>We offer over 10,000 sq ft of newly renovated meeting / conference space!</p><p>We are seeking a qualified Sales Manager to secure conferences and meetings in our newly renovated space.</p><p>The ideal candidate MUST have experience in hotel sales and preference is given to experience with Associations, Unions and Government markets.</p><h3>Duties & Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Sells group business for the hotel with a primary focus on associations, government and union markets.</li><li>Effectively and efficiently prepares proposals and client contracts following the Hotels timelines and procedures.</li><li>Responsible for achieving financial targets for sales in assigned group markets & catering segments. Including identifying opportunities for increasing revenues and market share for the assigned markets.</li><li>Proactively prospect, qualify and solicit new and repeat business using appropriate selling techniques.</li><li>Prepare client proposals and contracts with accurate and timely processing and details and maintain up to date client records.</li><li>Monitors quality of work and ensures operational standards are met (yield management practices are followed by both rooms and catering to maximum revenues and meet approved sales targets).</li><li>Superior customer service skills – including listening to and understanding needs of clients, anticipating and addressing concerns and requirements of clients and looking for opportunities to exceed expectations.</li><li>Attends and participates in sales and revenue meetings.</li><li>Organize and participate in sales calls, sales trips, and tradeshows. Professionally represents the hotel at Tradeshows, industry functions and community events as needed.</li><li>Communicate and work with all departments to provide the highest quality of service possible to groups and guests.</li><li>Support and covers relief for other members of the sales and catering team.</li><li>Performs all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established policies and procedures to achieve the overall objectives of this position</li></ul><h3>Qualifications</h3><ul><li>3 years of related Sales experience with some experience in hotel sales</li><li>Advanced interpersonal and communication skills</li><li>Excellent attention to detail and organization skills</li><li>Ability to multi-task and meet multiple deadlines</li><li>Able to work independently, self-motivated</li><li>Demonstrated excellence in guest satisfaction and ability to sell hotel services</li><li>Knowledge of hotel sales and catering processes from start to finish required.</li><li>Team player, flexible and energetic with the ability to work independently</li><li>Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite - Word, Excel and Outlook required</li><li>Hospitality or Sales Diploma or Certificate is an asset</li><li>Must have driver’s license and be able to drive a car to participate to tradeshows and other sales activities within Alberta.</li><li>Compensation based on experience - full time year round salaried position</li><li>Full benefits including matching RRSP contributions</li><li>Complimentary access to fitness and pool</li><li>Staff hotel rates at all Coast Hotels</li><li>Subsidized staff housing (located right next door)</li></ul><p>Coast Hotels offers a variety of benefits, including competitive wages & benefits, employee discounts, training & development, career advancement opportunities & more!</p><p>Coast Hotels is an Equal Opportunity Employer<br/>Coast Hotels would like to thank all interested applicants<br/>Only those selected for an interview will be contacted</p><p><b>NO PLACE LIKE COAST !</b></p></p>#J-18808-Ljbffr
