We are seeking a dedicated Family Practitioner with a special interest in oncology to provide comprehensive primary care services while supporting cancer care initiatives in the region. This is a unique opportunity to work in a collaborative environment that values innovation, continuity of care, and patient-centered practice.<br><br>The successful candidate will be part of a multidisciplinary team, working closely with local specialists, BC Cancer, and regional health authorities to enhance oncology services in Quesnel. Responsibilities include managing a family practice panel, participating in cancer screening and follow-up care, and contributing to the development of local oncology pathways. Opportunities for telehealth, continuing education, and mentorship are available to support your professional growth in this specialized area.<br><br>We welcome NEW to practice physicians and have several supports available to ensure that your transition into the community and practice is as smooth and as enjoyable as possible.<br><br>GR Baker Memorial Hospital is a 45 bed acute care facility. Services on-site include:<br><br><ul><li>Internal medicine</li><li>Obstetrics and Gynecology</li><li>Otolaryngology</li><li>General Surgery</li><li>Psychiatry</li><li>Community Cancer Clinic<br><br></li></ul>GR Baker recently completed a 27 million dollar expansion to the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Unit. This has improved patient flow, access to imaging and labs, security, privacy & confidentiality, and the alignment of critical care services and staff between the ED and ICU.<br><br>If you have a passion for adventure and rural medicine, this could be the opportunity for you!
