<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><p><strong>Sr. Director of Project Delivery</strong></p><p>As we continue to grow and mature our business operations and processes, we require an experienced and<br />driven individual to lead and coordinate our Project Delivery and Field (construction) programs and teams and<br />to be accountable for overall Project Delivery success.<br />The Director of Project Delivery will have that accountability, ensuring excellence in our project planning,<br />management, and execution. This is a key role reporting to the President and sitting on the Operations<br />Management Team. A key requirement of the role is to ensure our project delivery teams have the leadership<br />and support they need and are held accountable for delivering project success, which in turn will generate<br />repeat business and referrals while maximising our profitability on each project.</p><p><strong>The Key Accountabilities for the role are</strong>:<br><br> Client satisfaction<br /> Projects delivered on schedule<br /> Projects delivered on budget<br /> Ensuring a culture of safety<br /> Maximizing profitability through efficient and effective procurement and resource management<br /> Leading and developing project delivery team members<br /> Partnering with the executive team to grow the business through client relationships, repeat work, and<br />strategic expansion in Canada and the US.</p><p></p><p><strong>To achieve this, the Director will be experienced and proficient at:<br /></strong></p><p><br /> Consistently providing inspiring leadership to program and project teams and management<br /> Providing financial oversight and direction at the program and project level<br /> Understanding and communicating key financial data and metrics<br /> Ensuring accurate and timely project reporting<br /> Conducting monthly project review profit and loss (P&L) meetings (with Finance) to ensure that<br />Project Delivery teams are held accountable for their projects consistently remaining on track<br /> Assessing and developing project delivery team members<br /> Conducting regular performance reviews and providing honest & direct feedback<br /> Effectively communicating the needs and capabilities of the project delivery team to the President<br />and other Operations management team members.<br /> Actively leading or participating in annual business planning activities<br /> Collaborating with the Sales & Pre-Con teams in the development and kick-off of new projects<br /> Anticipating vendor, client, consultant, and regulator issues and avoiding or mitigating escalation<br /> Providing technical assistance in various aspects of greenfield or brownfield projects including<br />interpreting scope requirements, contract management, issue resolution, project & site management<br /> Accurately reviewing & approving physical completion onsite with % completion billed<br /> Providing hands-on training of Project Cost Management to new or inexperienced team members<br />(ECAC, Job Costing, budget codes, etc.)<br /> Understanding when to remain high-level & when to be hands-on project by project<br /> Identifying resource and/or skill deficiencies and gaps across the team</p><p> With HR, recruiting talented individuals to augment the capability and capacity of the team<br /> Liaise with clients and consultants as the executive representative on major projects to reinforce<br />company&#39;s reputation for excellence.<br /> Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain clarity under pressure.</p><p></p><p><strong>To deliver on the expectations of the role, the Sr. Director should possess:<br /></strong></p><p><br /> A strong drive to win and capture market share as per the strategic plan and priorities<br /> Demonstrated success leading profitable projects and teams while delivering high client satisfaction</p><p> 10+ years&#39; experience in all major facets of project delivery including technical expertise in the hands-<br />on delivery of Greenfield and Brownfield construction</p><p> Experience delivering multiple projects in the $2-20 MM range and several in the $20-80 MM range</p><p></p><p><strong>Additionally, the Director should possess and/or be responsible for developing</strong>:</p><p> A well-developed network of ICI trades & vendors within the GTA<br /> A well-developed network of PXs, PMs, and PCs for future recruitment needs</p><p>This is an important organizational role directly contributing to maintaining and augmenting company<br />reputation as a high-quality builder that performs as promised – crucial to ensuring repeat business and<br />strong referrals and ensuring maximum project profitability.<br />It is also a critical leadership role responsible for fostering and sustaining high morale among the project<br />delivery team, inspiring and maintaining a strong sense of OneTeam among the operations group and<br />recruiting and developing a consistent pipeline of talent for the organisation.<br />Demonstrated success in the role will position the incumbent for future executive leadership opportunities<br />with the company.<br /><strong>PMP certification</strong> is highly desirable.</p><p><br /><strong>Qualifications:<br /></strong></p><p>• 10+ years of experience in construction project delivery, with a focus on ICI and cold storage design-build<br />projects.<br />• Strong financial acumen with proven P&L management experience and ability to interpret cost reports<br />and project performance metrics.<br />• Demonstrated leadership in managing project teams and field operations simultaneously.<br />• Extensive knowledge of project delivery standards, including procurement, scheduling, and<br />constructability.<br />• Familiarity with Canadian building codes and cold chain design regulations (e.g. OBC, CFIA, CSA).<br />• Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., CMiC, Procore, MS Project).<br />• PMP certification preferred;
