With world class ROVs (Remote Operated Vehicles), Survey systems, and a fleet of offshore construction vessels, the group combines expertise and technology to deliver integrated subsea solutions to the offshore oil and gas industry.</p><p>DOF is currently seeking an individual for an offshore position of a <strong>Crane Operator/AB </strong>for a vessel off the East Coast of Canada. Offshore work schedule will be based on a 28-day rotation but this is subject to change. We are looking for a motivated and hardworking seafarer who has the passion for a career at sea. A key to success for this position is the ability to collaborate with offshore and onshore personnel. If you are looking for a dynamic environment to learn and grow your career, DOF is a great opportunity!</p><p></p><p><strong>Tasks can include, but are not limited to:</strong></p><ul><li>Operate all cranes onboard the vessel </li><li>Assume the role of vessel AB when not required for crane duties </li><li>Maintain cranes according to TM-Master and Chief Engineer’s requirements </li><li>Maintain lifting equipment of the vessel </li><li>Report technical problems to the Chief Engineer</li><li>Boatswain function, should report to the Chief Officer every morning for job instructions</li><li>Night Watch when in port </li><li>Act as look out when required </li><li>Working with other departments as instructed by the Chief Officer</li><li>Maintenance of deck equipment </li><li>General deck work as required </li><li>Lashing and securing the deck cargo or equipment on deck </li><li>Washing down the vessel externally </li><li>Manning mooring stations as required </li></ul><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>Education and Certificate Requirements:</strong></p><ul><li>Transport Canada Bridge Watch Rating Certificate of Competency</li><li>STCW MED Basic Safety and Survival Craft</li><li>Ship Personnel with Designated Security Duties Certificate</li><li>Marine Basic First Aid and CPR</li><li>Valid Canadian Passport</li><li>Valid Seafarers Medical</li><li>Stage 3 Offshore Crane Operator Certificate</li><li>Certificate of Proficiency in Passenger Safety Management would be considered an asset</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Experience / Knowledge: </strong></p><ul><li>Previous experience on Offshore Support Vessels</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills </li><li>Excellent communicator, both verbal and written</li><li>Capable of discussing issues and topics of importance at every level</li><li>Good organizational skills and ability to multitask</li></ul><p>Successful candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
