We provide personalized home care services and solutions that fit the unique needs of each client and their family.</p><strong>Position Overview</strong><p>As the <strong>Caregiver Manager</strong> at Earth Angels Home Care, your primary responsibility is to provide outstanding support to caregivers, ensuring their job satisfaction and contributing to their attraction and retention. You will act as a central point of contact and collaboration for caregivers and office staff, helping to achieve exceptional client care and meet budgeted growth goals at our <strong>Truro office</strong>. You will report directly to the <strong>Regional Director</strong>.</p>Responsibilities<p><strong>Caregiver Engagement & Development</strong></p><ul><li><p>Serve as the primary point of contact for caregivers, promptly addressing concerns and resolving any issues.</p></li><li><p>Build strong, trusting relationships with caregivers to ensure their satisfaction and retention.</p></li><li><p>Engage new caregivers by contacting them prior to orientation to discuss expectations and required documentation.</p></li><li><p>Conduct weekly orientation sessions for incoming caregivers, including training in personal care, Teepa Snow dementia training, and other essential skills such as kitchen, laundry, and meal preparation.</p></li><li><p>Provide ongoing training through individualized sessions, skills labs, and soft skills development.</p></li><li><p>Offer regular feedback to support caregiver growth, including 3-month reviews using wage increase templates.</p></li><li><p>Conduct performance evaluations and create individualized development plans for caregivers.</p></li><li><p>Conduct <strong>in-home and in-community visits</strong> with caregivers to observe care delivery, provide coaching, and ensure continuous improvement and quality of service.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Care Team Collaboration & Oversight</strong></p><ul><li><p>Collaborate with the scheduling team to ensure the right caregivers are matched to clients based on care plans and client preferences.</p></li><li><p>Work closely with the Client Care Manager and Scheduler to ensure care plans are properly followed and delivered with safety and excellence.</p></li><li><p>Oversee scheduling to meet caregiver utilization goals and reduce unfilled shifts.</p></li><li><p>Facilitate smooth client introductions by attending initial caregiver-client meetings.</p></li><li><p>Follow up with caregivers after first shifts and whenever they begin with a new client.</p></li><li><p>Enforce compliance with Earth Angels Home Care Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and provincial regulations (e.g., PPE, infection control).</p></li><li><p>Participate in the <strong>emergency on-call rotation</strong> with other office staff.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Recruitment & Onboarding</strong></p><ul><li><p>Oversee the entire recruitment process, including sourcing, attracting, interviewing, and onboarding new caregivers for the Truro office.</p></li><li><p>Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract high-quality caregiver candidates through job boards, social media, community outreach, and local recruitment events.</p></li><li><p>Manage and maintain job postings across multiple platforms to ensure consistency and professionalism.</p></li><li><p>Actively source candidates through online databases and networking to build a strong talent pipeline.</p></li><li><p>Review resumes, conduct initial screenings, and schedule interviews with appropriate team members.</p></li><li><p>Perform thorough reference checks and comprehensive background screenings for all new hires to ensure compliance and quality.</p></li><li><p>Guide new hires through onboarding paperwork and ensure all documentation and training requirements are completed before their first day.</p></li><li><p>Confirm all pre-employment checks are completed efficiently and accurately.</p></li><li><p>Keep detailed recruitment records in <strong>WellSky</strong>, tracking progress and hiring metrics.</p></li><li><p>Provide weekly updates to the <strong>Regional Director</strong> on staffing levels, recruitment progress, and future workforce needs based on business growth and client demand.</p></li><li><p>Participate in workforce planning discussions to proactively address staffing challenges and opportunities.</p></li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li><p>Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business management, or related field (required).</p></li><li><p>Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within a healthcare setting (required).</p></li><li><p>Strong knowledge of home care regulations and standards.</p></li><li><p>Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.</p></li><li><p>Proven ability to manage teams, resolve conflicts, and foster positive workplace culture.</p></li><li><p>Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities with a client-centered mindset.</p></li><li><p>Proficiency with healthcare management software such as <strong>WellSky</strong> and other technology tools.</p></li></ul>Benefits<ul><li><p>Health, dental, and vision insurance</p></li><li><p>Employee assistance program</p></li><li><p>Extended health care coverage</p></li><li><p>Life insurance</p></li><li><p>Wellness program</p></li></ul>Job Details<ul><li><p><strong>Job Type:</strong> Full-time</p></li><li><p><strong>Schedule:</strong> Monday to Friday;
