<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><strong>Responsibilities</strong><br /><ul><li>Support the Project Manager with overall project planning, scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting for major structures projects across Northern Ontario</li><li>Assist in managing all aspects of project execution, ensuring compliance with legislative, labour, and company requirements.</li><li>Uphold and enforce company policies and procedures throughout project delivery.</li><li>Oversee and coordinate projects to remain within budget parameters.</li><li>Contribute to the preparation of cost status reports, including percent completion, costs to date, and cost forecasts.</li><li>Identify potential issues and alert management to risks, creating action plans to reduce impact and mitigate problems.</li><li>Track project progress continuously and take corrective measures when needed.</li><li>Assist with budget and forecast preparation while managing scope and contract changes to reduce risk.</li><li>Ensure all changes to scope or contracts are submitted to and approved by the client.</li><li>Implement and monitor the company’s Safety Policy and Program.</li><li>Oversee compliance with the company’s Quality Assurance Program and related standards.</li><li>Manage manpower planning, equipment coordination, and material procurement.</li><li>Support subcontractor oversight, including work execution and contract administration.</li><li>Prepare and submit progress billings, and assist in collecting outstanding payments.</li><li>Conduct regular on-site safety inspections.</li></ul><strong>Qualifications</strong><br /><ul><li>Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology.</li><li>Professional accreditation (P.Eng./CET) or equivalent technical training and experience.</li><li>Minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering or construction.</li><li>Background in civil engineering construction such as dams, powerhouses, generation stations, bridges, infrastructure, and/or heavy civil projects.</li><li>Experience on OPG projects or in powerhouses is an asset.</li><li>Strong communication, problem-solving, leadership, and initiative skills.</li><li>Proficient with MS Office, MS Project, and Bluebeam.</li><li>Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities.</li><li>Skilled in management, negotiation, and conflict resolution.</li><li>Attention to detail and strong time management capabilities.</li><li><strong>Willingness to work at various project sites across Ontario.</strong></li></ul></p></p>Browse Jobs in Canada by City
