You're responsible for preparation and data input of General Accounting activities to support Controller group activities, within the Finance group.<br><br><strong>Location: </strong>You will be based in our Toronto office, balancing in-office collaboration with remote flexibility.<br><br><strong>Reporting Relationship</strong>: You will report to the Manager, Accounting<br><br>Your Moneris Career - What you'll do<br><br><ul><li>Process Accounts Payable, reviewing and approving expense claims, input vouchers, and performing payment runs</li><li>Process Accounts Receivable, support input of vouchers, payment applications, and invoice preparation</li><li>Preparation and input of Journal entries, ensuring adequate and valid back up</li><li>Prepare Prepaid Expense, and other month end journal entries</li><li>Perform monthly reconciliation, to ensure the accuracy and completeness of such, and analysis and resolution of non-reconciled amounts.</li><li>Responsible for preparation and filing of monthly Sales Tax returns</li><li>Provide guidance to other areas regarding Finance processes and procedures</li><li>Perform other duties, as required<br><br></li></ul>Your Moneris Career - What you bring<br><br><ul><li>Up to 2 years of experience in general accounting (experience in Accounts Payable/ Receivable considered an asset)</li><li>College diploma/ degree in accounting (equivalent work experience may be considered a substitution)</li><li>Accounting designation would be considered an asset</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Windows/ MS Office Applications (Excel)</li><li>Excellent communication skills and networking abilities with internal and external contacts</li><li>Proactive, motivated individuals require minimal supervision</li><li>Ability to meet month end deadlines</li><li>Ability to contribute effectively in a fast-paced environment</li><li>Good organizational and analytical ability to assess accounting impacts</li><li>A team player and has strong attention to detail<br><br></li></ul>Your Moneris Career - What you get<br><br>At Moneris, we believe in empowering you to succeed—personally and professionally.
