<h3>Job Description</h3><p>Job Description<p><p><strong>Licensed Mechanic</strong></p><p>Reporting to the Shop Foreman, the 310T or 310S Licensed Technician (Mechanic) is responsible for the day-to-day preventative and post-incident repairs of a large fleet of commercial vehicles. This fast-paced, but diligent role will diagnose and carry out all repairs for mechanical issues and problems discovered in various commercial School Buses and civilian class vehicles. The incumbent will maintain a strong sense of customer service while interacting with various stakeholders, School Bus Drivers, Dispatchers, Managers, Peer Mechanics, Apprentices and Governmental Agencies.</p><p><strong>Job Duties</strong></p><ul><li>Perform Brake and Safety Inspections and carry out preventative maintenance</li><li>Ensure all vehicle inspections are completed in a timely fashion each month</li><li>Perform service calls and cold starts as required</li><li>Ensure you have knowledge of our safety policies and adhere to them</li><li>Perform additional vehicle repairs as needed</li><li>Adhere to compliance-based regulations from a Company, Federal, Provincial and Municipal perspective</li><li>Complete reports to record problems and work performed</li><li>Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions</li><li>Diagnose faults and malfunctions and confirm findings with the supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace</li></ul><p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p><ul><li>Possess and maintain in good standing a valid 310T or 310S License</li><li>Valid Driver’s License</li><li>Thorough working knowledge of Municipal, Provincial and Federal safety provisions</li><li>Practical experience in preventative maintenance practices, particularly within the School Bus industry, is an asset</li><li>Ability to work in team-based, collaborative work</li></ul></p></p>
